Hi Preps!
So, who else is dieting?? If you scroll down a little bit, you will see a badge on the right that is courtesy of
MyFitnessPal. It shows that I have lost 9 pounds since I started the dieting madness in Dec!!! I am super excited that it's almost at 10 - and I am SUPER motivated to keep it going!!
I am now 40 yrs old and since the birth of my girlies 4 years ago and 2 years ago - I have just had a REALLY hard time losing weight. I also am quite a foodie and my friends and I love great restaurants and we are always having Happy Hours or other themed parties. For example, this evening I am going to my friend Heidi's Pampered Chef party; I know there will be Chocolate Lava cake there so I need to be careful tonight, for sure!!
I work out with my trainer on Tuesdays and Fridays and then treadmill at home or with friends 2-3 other days a week. My trainer has my password to
MyFitnessPal and she put in the proper number of calories, protein, fat and carbs that I should meet on a daily basis. Everyday, I plug in what I eat all day long onto MyFitnessPal and my trainer can keep track of my food intake that way. It also helps me plan my day by putting in my food choices so I can see where I might go wrong and change it.
Just to share; I stay under 1400 calories a day and MAXIMUM 31 grams of fat (that's hard! but I do it) and 105 grams of Protein.
Eating so much protein has REALLY changed my dieting outlook!!!!!! I am full all the time, I don't need little snacky things - sometimes, I am stuffed by the time dinner time arrives, so it all helps me to make great food choices!
I also have started using some
Shaklee products. I don't know if you are familiar with them but they are all natural and have helped me so much!! The
Shaklee Cinch 3 in 1 vitamins are AMAZING and totally give me energy and curb my appetite.
I also have a
Shaklee Cinch protein shake every day and this helps me meet my protein goal and has Lucene to help preserve my muscle tissue while I am dieting. I have the chocolate flavor and the Latte flavor and they are GREAT with a TBL of peanut butter or a banana mixed in a blender with ice and skim milk. YUMMY!!!!!
Anyway, I would love for you to share your dieting stories, successes or setbacks with me!! I am feeling good right now and hoping to lose about 15-20 pounds by June 1 for Pool season and LILLY season, baby!!!!!!
